2002 ANNUAL MEETING
Roxbury: Sunday, October 6, 2002
Meeting Called to Order by President Bernstein at 5:45 PM
Quorum: President declared a quorum present for the Annual Meeting.
Minutes: Accepted the minutes of the November 13, 2001 Annual Meeting.
President’s Report: President Bernstein gave a summary of the past year’s actions
and events:

Established Board Committees.

Continued VBPC Website Development and Maintenance.

Held Vt BikePed Summit April '02.

Received and carried out GHSP Safety Training Grant. 12 Vermonters were trained as League Certified Instructors, whom to date have reached 2800 children in 15 schools and 10 bicycle rodeos.

Grants: Bunky developed a presentation piece and contacted several large potential donors. Received a $2500 grant from the New England Grassroots Environmental Fund , a $1500 grant from the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, grant for $5,000 from Vermont Safe Kids, and are awaiting word on a grant from the Vermont Agency of Transportation.

Interviewed four candidates for Executive Director, and hired Becka Roolf, who started in August, 2002. Becka notes that our 2002 budget will be $20,000 and the 2003 budget $30,000-40,000.

Held the Second Annual VBPC Bike Ride, the Central Vt Foliage Fling,

Election of Members to the Board of Directors: The Executive Director presented the following slate of nominees to be elected to the Board of Directors of the VBPC, all terms to expire in 2005:

A MOTION was made and seconded to have the Secretary cast one ballot for
the Slate. MOTION Approved.
